Meet Benny!
(#2880)
Benny is an 8 year old bundle of love who was surrendered by his previous owners when they realized that they no longer had the time to give him the attention that he deserved. Benny weighs 19 lbs, which is perfect for his body type, but he would like to eat everything in sight, so you will need to be vigilant about helping him keep trim as he gets older.
Benny is an excellent cuddler and would love to sleep in the big bed. He loves everyone and is very playful. Benny makes his foster parents laugh every day. Whether he’s snoring in bed, bumping you in the leg with a rope toy as a request to play tug-of-war, or "hunting for truffles" on a walk, he is always happy and completely irresistible.
Benny would do best in a home where he’s not left alone all day - he's a typical velcro Griff who loves to be with people and he's even great with children. However, if you are busy with small children, please consider whether you will have time to give Benny the attention that he deserves. Benny would do great with a well-adjusted canine brother or sister, but he definitely wouldn’t mind being an only dog and getting all of your attention!
Benny entered rescue with bladder stones and is on a special prescription diet to help prevent them from reoccurring. His special diet makes him thirsty, so he drinks a lot of water and should not go for long periods of time without a bathroom break. However, Benny is very good about letting you know when he needs to go out and he hasn't had a housebreaking accident since his bladder stones were removed.
If you're looking for a great companion with a terrific personality, Benny is the dog for you! Are you ready to fall in love with Benny?
Benny is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and micro-chipped.
Benny is being fostered near Concord, NH.

If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Cristen at emmaresq@yahoo.com.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
