Meet Barney!

Barney is a 6 year old red rough male. Barney had his beard and coat clipped very short after he got into some glue. He is quite a live wire but can be a bit timid and bashful until he gets to know you. He gets along well with other dogs. He loves to play tug of war and sit beside you.

Barney uses the dog door but has been know to mark in the house if not carefully watched. He is neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on shots.

Barney is a very sweet little boy who should weigh about 10 pounds. He has been free fed and like many of us doesn't know how to practice portion control. He needs a loving forever home where his food intake will be monitored and controlled. He is so cute and will be even cuter when he drops some weight.

Barney is located in Independence, KS.

If you would like more information, contact Vicki O’Neill. If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
