Barney is a red rough male griffon. He is about 3.5 years old and weighs about 20 lbs. Barney is neutered. He is up to date on his vaccines and is on heartworm preventative.
Barney is an owner surrender – from a family where they cannot give him the time they feel he really needs. He came from a breeder in Missouri – so puppy mill breeding.
Barney needs work on housebreaking – he is not dependable. He is also very nervous when new people come to the house. It takes him a long time to be comfortable with new people and he barks a great deal when he is getting used to them. Barney is leash trained.
Barney is in good health with the exception of one questionable knee which may need surgery at some point in the future.
In spite of all that – Barney is a sweet boy who would love to have a stay at home parent in a relatively quiet home.
Barney is located in Southern New Jersey.
If you would like more information,
contact Vicki. If you are interested
in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application.
Keep in mind that we prefer
to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone
from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to
fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
