Meet Alfred!

Note: This dog is not in our program.
This is a courtesy listing only, to assist in finding him/her a home.
Alfie is a 6-7 month old male Brussels-Bichon mix, and probably fully grown at about 15 lbs. He spent the first 4 months of his life in a puppy mill cage.
Alfie does not like small children. We don't know how he'd react to older kids since he hasn't been exposed to any, but we will definitely not place him with kids under the age of 6 or 7 years. Alfie warmed up quickly to his foster mom, and became her lap companion. He slept in his bed next to hers at night, and sat at her feet as she cooked in the kitchen. She says he has "an old soul." I agree that Alfie seems to have matured lately. He's not the same rambunctious pup he used to be (lucky for us!). I think he'd like nothing more than a nice quiet home where he can kick back and spend his time staring adoringly at his favorite person. Alfie worked on his house-breaking and paper-training while in his foster home, but he'll still needs some help with the concept.
Alfie is with Joey's Home Senior Dog Rescue in Terre Haute, IN. They welcome out of state adopters. For more information, please contact them at joeys.home@yahoo.com.
