Salma is Home!
We are semi- rural with not a lot of roads for the amount of land that
is around. My house is next to hundreds of acres of conservancy land,
vineyards, etc. with small clusters of homes scattered on large
properties. We have myriad critters running around...fox, hawks, and
last week I saw two eagles. I drove the local roads for several hours.
Then headed to Kinkos to make flyers.
A dear friend helped me post them on phone poles, mailboxes. pet
stores, convenience stores etc. We put out maybe 225 of the 300 I had
printed. By ten o'clock last night I had a call from a local camp
director who said Salma had appeared in his barn totally soaked,
covered in mud and burrs that afternoon. He didn't see a flyer till
around 7 p.m. when a camp lifeguard came back to camp with one.
He called and I was out posting flyers but was able to get her at 10pm.
They had bathed her and even brushed her and of course fell in love with her
immediately. So another adventure ends.

Salma
Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania
August 20, 2004
This morning around 8:30 am
our 16 month old female Salma escaped from the yard at my home in Chadds Ford
Pennsylvania.
Salma is a nine pound red rough with cropped ears and tail. She has a collar
but no tags and is in show coat.
We are driving frantically but there is a lot of ground to cover in this area.
I have notified local vets and both SPCA's. I'm going to do flyers next. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
Salma is extremely friendly and would approach anyone or get into a car wiggling
all the way.
If you see or hear of a
dog that might match Salma's description, please contact: Bethann
Lane.
