From Josephine's owners:

While visiting my family in Seminole, Florida on June 23rd, our dog Josephine ran away She is a red, smooth coat and weighs about 10lbs. She has been seen multiple times in the bayou club area in Largo, FL. She lost her collar, but does have a microchip.

We immediately put out flyers, contacted local vets, the SPCA, the Humane Society and the Animal services. We put an ad in the st pete times, that still running. She has been spotted multiple times in the bayou club area (a gated community). I have requested that they put out a trap, but they refuse to do so on the grounds that they may catch local wildlife.

My family has been in close contact with the gate keepers at the bayou club, and asks them everyday about her. She is frightened and runs away whenever anyone approaches her.
Anyway, she is 3 1/2 years old (born 12/25/02). She is a red smooth coat spayed female with a Avid chip. If found, please call Florida:(727)393-6474 or Illinois:(217)732-9649. A reward has been offered.
